Our Story

On Route 66 since 2016, one chair at a time.

Savvy started with one stylist and a short list of women who trusted her with their color. Today the room is bigger. The promise is exactly the same.

Since 2016

What grew, and what stayed the same.

Savvy Hair Design opened in May of 2016 in downtown Yukon, Oklahoma. The salon has changed a lot since then. The way we treat the person in the chair has not changed at all.

Where it started

One chair on Historical Route 66. Stacy took her time, learned every head of hair, and built a waiting list one honest appointment at a time.

Where we are

Two private suites and two stylists. A 4.8 rating across 223 Google reviews. Most clients have been coming back for two years or more.

Three suites and five open chairs by July of 2026. More stylists who hold the same standard. Here's to what comes next.

Meet the owner

Twenty-seven years of listening.

Stacy Parks-Rhodes has been behind the chair for more than twenty-seven years. She opened Savvy in 2016 to build the kind of salon she always wanted to work in. Private. Calm. Honest.

She is the stylist who greets you by name and remembers what you told her last time. The one who walks you through the color before she ever mixes it, and asks if you have questions before she starts.

Her clients tell her about their marriages, their kids, their lab work. She hugs them on the way out. Some of them she tells she loves them, and she means it.

Suites and the open floor

A suite or the floor, your choice.

Savvy gives you options. Book a private suite with a door that closes, or a chair on our open floor with a stylist who does beautiful work. Both come with the same care.

In a suite, your appointment is yours. The door closes, and what you talk about stays between you and your stylist. For a lot of women, that privacy is the whole reason they stay.

On the open floor, you get the same honest work and the same standard, with a little more of that easy salon energy. There is no wrong way to book.

Twenty years in the same chair.

Kelli first sat in Stacy's chair back in 2003. More than twenty years later, she is still here. That is the part Stacy is proudest of. Not the new faces, though she loves those too. The clients who keep coming back, year after year, because they trust her with the thing they see in the mirror every morning. One in five new clients comes from someone telling a friend. The rest find us and stay.
